State Responsibility Areas (SRA):
CAL FIRE’s office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) has updated the SRA Fire Hazard Severity Zone (FHSZ) maps effective April 1, 2024.
The FHSZ Map Viewer shows California’s FHZS as updated by Cal Fire. A local fire agency or district may have maps that are more restrictive. Contact your local fire agency to confirm the appropriate FHZS.
LRA 2025 FHSZ Map Changes:
The Lakeside Fire Protection District has, as required by Government Code Section 51179, adopted the newly identified Fire Hazard Severity Zone (FHSZ) in the Local Response Area (LRA). Cal Fire released the maps on March 24, 2025, and on June 24, 2025, the maps were adopted by the Lakeside Fire Protection District Board of Directors (Ordinance 25-01).
The Comparison Map will show the before and after LRA-FHSZ’s from the 2009 maps and the 2025 maps.
